How free is the free plan?

In 1928, Le Corbusier completed the famous Maison Stein, the first built manifestation of his maison domino theory. While celebrated as a proof of concept for the free plan, we hypothesized that spaces in the house were perhaps not all ‘free’.
Analyzing the building against the 5 points and looking at the architect’s faithfulness to his manipulated golden ratio, we found a pattern of discrepencies in the built form for the served versus the servants.
